Join us for a Meetup and Tech talk at our AWS Herndon location where Ryan Washington, Forensic Investigator, will discuss "Intrusion Detection - Then and Now"

Presenter Bio: Ryan Washington is the Forensic Investigator for Amazon Web Services (AWS). His duties at AWS include leading worldwide internal digital investigations, working with customers on specific analysis issues, and bridging the gap of traditional forensics and cloud forensics.

Prior to joining AWS, in December 2015, he was a small business owner specializing in digital forensics and had an extensive career contracting with the Federal Government. His responsibilities at the FBI’s Cyber Division included technical analysis of computer and network intrusion activities. Other contracts had Mr. Washington assessing digital postures, behaviors of actors, and testifying on behalf of the government. Mr. Washington is a former Marine and is notably a government expert witness on “Words with Friends,” and “Instagram”(seriously). Mr. Washington holds degrees in Management, and is a (slow) ultra distance runner.
