This event is to RSVP for Group 1 of the Ice Cream Run meeting at 10:30. We try and limit each group to a maximum of 20 cars. Please RSVP at once for this group or the group meeting at 11:00. ONE RSVP PER CAR PLEASE!
Please print out a route sheet and bring it with you.
SINCE Will S HAS RETURNED TO DENVER, WE NEED A VOLUNTEER TO LEAD GROUP 2 OR WE WILL HAVE TO LIMIT THE RUN TO ONE GROUP. (I WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP ANYONE THAT VOLUNTEERS. I USUALLY DO A COUPLE OF TRIAL RUNS A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE THE EVENT TO CHECK ROAD CONDITIONS. WE CAN SET UP A TIME THAT IS CONVENIENT.)
THE CREAMERIES ARE NOT VERY LARGE AND WE WOULD OVERWHELM THEM IF WE SHOWED UP WITH 30 CARS AND 45 PEOPLE.
BRING CASH TO SPEED UP THE PAYMENT PROCESS
What could be better than TWISTIES and a visit to an ICE CREAM joint? How about a visit to THREE great homemade ice cream joints. We will meet at Pine Cliff Park (think Crack Pie Run) and head out on part of Maryland's Best Ice Cream Trail. We will be traveling the back roads around Frederick, Brunswick, and Hagerstown to test the delicious offerings of three creameries. Our first stop will be Rocky Point Creamery. Everything is good there, but pace yourself, we have a long way to go. Next stop is the agriculturally scented summer air at the South Mountain Creamery for more frozen refreshments. From here, we head north to the Misty Meadows Farm Creamery.
The route is 66 miles and will take a little over two hours, IF WE DON'T STOP FOR ICE CREAM, so add another hour and a half.
