I copied this info from their Facebook page "Friday Night Dance at Glen Echo Park". I've only tried square dancing once. Contra dancing looks like different types of moves but they give lessons starting at 7:30. It's $10 per adult and $5 for 17 or less. This requires constant stepping or swinging around a partner or going from once partner to the next for a few minutes so you do get your heart rate up. If you perspire easily, I suggest wearing an undershirt and bring a change of shirt to use because you won't want people touching a wet back as they swing around!
Lesson starts at 7:30
Dancing is 8:30-11:30 Join us as Susan Taylor calls to the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band.
Dancing will take place in the Spanish Ballroom this week.
Lesson (included with admission) at 7:30.
